About Rush Fitness
Rush Fitness was once a leading name in the southeastern fitness scene. Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, the company had 23 gym locations spread throughout Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Under the leadership of David Carney as President and CEO, Rush Fitness aimed to offer a top-tier workout experience for people of all fitness levels.
In 2014, Rush Fitness was acquired by Gold’s Gym, an internationally recognized fitness brand that began in Venice Beach, California, in 1965. Founded by Joe Gold, Gold’s Gym is now owned by TRT Holdings and is based in Dallas, Texas.
With the acquisition, all Rush Fitness locations were rebranded under the Gold’s Gym name. The goal remained the same: to make fitness approachable, enjoyable, and results-driven for everyone, from beginners to seasoned athletes.
Gold’s Gym facilities offer a wide range of amenities and services designed to help members meet their personal goals. The gym features state-of-the-art cardio machines, strength training equipment, and free weights. Members can also take advantage of unique spaces like the Mind & Body Studio, sauna and steam rooms, a women’s only area, and even a Cardio Cinema for an entertaining twist on exercise.
Group fitness classes include Bootcamp, Yoga, Group Cycle, and more, while the Kids Club provides on-site care so parents can work out worry-free. Certified personal trainers are also available to provide guidance and help create customized workout routines.
Membership costs vary depending on the gym’s location and the type of membership plan chosen. If your needs change and you wish to cancel, the process doesn’t have to be stressful.
